Ordered a pick-up order online. It was ready in 20 minutes. The pizza was good, NY style. The sausage was shaved, almost like Italian beef. We also ordered the chicken parmesan, which weighed about 5lbs. It came with two delicious garlic knots. Definitely ask for extra pasta sauce or an extra side of sauce. By the time we ate the pasta, it was pretty dry but tasty. I would definitely go back and try some sandwiches and order more garlic knots.
What a wonderful gem! We were looking for NY or thin crust pizza, and this place does not disappoint! By the pie or by the slice are your options… but don’t skip the huge and tasty salads, panini, and pasta…. Or the amazing desserts!
We visited in mid July on a weeknight and we able to sit outside on the patio, surrounded by flower beds filled with fresh herbs, tomatoes, pepper plants, and edible flowers!
The location we visited is in the River Arts District, so mostly a quiet neighborhood atmosphere with some traffic.
We sampled the margherita, all meat, and supreme slices, a Greek salad with pickled onions, and garlic knots. The pizza slices were crispy on the crust and bottom edge, but gooey and wonderful and loaded with toppings on the top side. The sauce is more a sun-dried tomato flavor, but they did not over load the sauce. The flavors were big and balanced. Oh, and the slices are enormous. We finished our meal with dessert. The toasted almond blonde tiramisu is delicate and flavorful and we loved it.
The place isn’t fancy and we were the only ones to dine on site. The service was good despite them being very busy with carry out orders and call ins.
Total win for us, would absolutely recommend!
Ordered a pizza and asked them to make it well done. Not only was it well done, it was actually a bit underdone. The slide fell apart and was all soggy, the crust was barely brown. Kind of a bummer. They’re pizza used to be better.
I was craving Italian food, and was able to find a local place using Google Maps. The parking lot is a little small, and there are specified parking spaces for specific businesses, so parking can be competitive. But we were able to find a space and we ordered at the counter to eat inside. I ordered mozzarella sticks as our starter, and chicken parmesan as my meal. The mozzarella sticks were good, but I think it was fairly obvious that they were frozen. And charging $8.99 for 5 is a little steep- so I will likely not want to order those again. The chicken parmesan was $13.99, and I think that price was very reasonable given the portion of food. I nearly could not finish my meal. The service was decent, it seems that the restaurant gets a lot of take-out orders, so they were pretty focused on that. I would definitely come here again, and I would like to try their pizza next time!
5 stars only because that’s the max! So , a bit pricey but well worth it! We were in Asheville just for the day and were recommended by the Country Inn and Suites.
Small dine in but they do a heck of a carry out.
We had a Greek salad and the Sicilian with Veggie toppings. It says serves 6 and it does!
Just us two and we made 3 meals from it! I reheated on broil at 450 and it was like it was just made.
Probably one of the best Pizzas I have ever had!
The staff was busy but took the time to be engaged with the customers and seemed very upbeat.
Definitely on the list for repeat as my son will be living there come January.
Awesome job!
One of the best pizza joints I've found in Asheville, super friendly staff, and a cool atmosphere. You've found your safe place.
Had a 14" supreme pizza here and wow the aroma coming off of it matched perfectly with the taste. Fresh toppings, a flexible crust, tasty sauce and hot out of the oven! Great flavor, great tiramisu dessert as well. Wife got a club panini and enjoyed it all especially the rosemary in the bread.
Man this place was hoppin' when I went in at 4pm on a Saturday. The restaurant side with the tables were empty but that door kept swinging open with folks coming for their takeout orders.
I popped in for a slice of pizza. For folks who haven't gone before, they only have cheese and you can add your own toppings for a fee.
I added pepperoni and took a seat to wait. The pizza came in a proper mini pizza box. Inside, the pizza was folding up at the end, too big for the box. The pepperoni was properly covered in grease and took three paper napkins to blot (that's not a bad thing).
The crust has proper flop so you can fold it, but it's not so thin that it's crispy. The sauce and cheese and pepperoni are totally old school pizza parlor - that first bite was a real nostalgia moment.
By the time I was done I was five napkins in. For five bucks including tip for a monster NY style slice, I'll totally be back.
